That 5-d storage thing is pretty cool, but it seems to be an unusual usage of the word "dimension" -- if I'm reading right, the data is still stored in 3 spatial dimensions, but they're adding sensitivities to attributes of the laser beam to allow multiple bits to be stored in the same physical location.
