From this release about a prostate cancer drug trial: "Most men obviously prefer taking a drug than having their testicles removed."
It's funny because it's true.
This comment is also full of win: he doesn't want to lose his testicles because of health-care economy.
And that's why Hillary did not get the nomination.
Posted by: shpx.ohfu at June 13, 2008 06:11 AMI think they are missing the broader point: most men prefer taking drugs whether or not they are having their testicles removed. In fact, I'd venture to say that in the event of testicle removal, I'd want to be taking even more drugs than in the scenarios in which my testicles remain intact.
Posted by: My Alter Ego at June 13, 2008 07:52 AMOn the other hand, their framing of this as an either/or scenario lays the groundwork for what could be the greatest marketing slogan of all time: "Take this pill or they'll cut off your balls!!!""

That is good. Is it better than "Take this pill and you'll get more chicks!!!"
Almost, but the latter promises positive reinforcement instead of the avoidance of negative reinforcement.
Still I find the former very compelling.
Bravo!
Posted by: Tripp at June 13, 2008 10:49 AMHow about the old one-two:
"Take this pill and you'll get more chicks!!!"
Followed a bit later by:
"Continue to take this medicine or they [your newfound female companions] will cut off your balls!!!"

The phallus of reward and the phallus of punishment.
