Because I am a proud daddy, that's why.

This is just a quick homefront update for those of you who care.

The end of May saw Cassidy reach her first birthday (unscarred!) and take her first steps. I'm not sure how she could get any prettier, but it keeps happening. Noah has finally left diapers behind (praise the lord - just one to go!) and now regularly demands that any soft music be replaced with music to which he can "rock out" (I don't think the two are related). He seems particularly fond of KISS, as the picture might indicate.

Meanwhile, Keegan turned eleven and, on Monday, graduated elementary school and was given the Principal's Award for the highest score in the school on the End of Grade math test. Woo-hoo! He's also taking private goaltending lessons over the summer and is being strongly encouraged by folks in the Triangle Youth Hockey Association to try out for the select travel team. He's a natural at it and I'm super-proud of him, but man oh man did he pick an expensive sport.

This has been a test of the Apostrophamily Broadcast System. We now return you to your regularly scheduled mutant farm animal and genital amputation blogging.

K. has really come into his own hasn't he?

You know when he was 8 you told me it was going to be declining enjoyment when he got to this age, but honestly what I notice about boys that age is that if they find something they love and that they're good at, they can really be pretty high reward.

He's sorta been that way from Day 1, though. Sometimes I'm more than a little in awe of him. All I know is I certainly didn't do anything to deserve a child this easy to parent.

Those kids are way cute. And Keegan sounds way talented.

Good (ongoing) job and great fun!

They are just ridiculously adorable. Cassidy has the "Cindy Lou Who, who was no more than two" look down, and the Keegan and Noah are both these perfectly iconic freckle-faced all-American boys.

I have to say, I first read "goaltender" as "goattender" and was confused (and intrigued... I want to be a goattender!)

Sure, Apo, you talk a good game about being down with the double-headed, eight-limbed, dual-penised babies. But at the end of the day, you churn out disturbingly perfect-looking kids. Yawn.

You are a man of many traits. I have posted to a few of your other blogs. I am in complete awe with this one. Throughout my postings, I have discovered that you are a comedian, a highly educated pharmaceutical writer, and a well respected individual with a side of sarcasm; however, this blog has revealed that you are a wonderful father. Being a loving father is your greatest trait of all. Your children are beautiful, and I am pleased to see that you adore them. I attended college in education. I have been a preschool teacher for several years; therefore, children are my life. You may know me as THE VOICE and NOT LEZ YET.

Wow!!! I am soooo proud of the K-man, and let me tell you, hockey tournaments in Columbus will be much cheaper than tennis tournaments in Palm Beach!
