Of course, this snapshot was taken during the small time between episodes of Nancy Grace, Glenn Beck, Showbiz Tonight, and the daily four-hour block of 'check out how hot Robin Meade is.'

The 'roofing magnate being killed in fall from roof' story might have made this particular half-hour worthwhile. I wouldn't think that a magnate would still need to get on roofs.

Seriously, though, it sounds like there is a market opportunity here for someone to provide an "all hard news, all the time" channel. BBC world is all right on the whole, but I need something else for those times when I'm not quite sure that Israel is the source of all the world's problems.

That is some seriously depressing and irritating shit.

Why? While it'd be nice if the news channels provided more news, aren't there plenty of alternatives?

For "Predator tries to abduct girl," my first thought was of the Arnold Schwarzenegger predator. Too bad the girl wasn't the daughter of Mexican day laborers, so we could have "Predator tries to abduct alien".
