Electronic medical records.

People often get tattooed in places where the work won't be seen unless it's deliberately shown. This is a pretty sound strategy in case, some years later, you come to regret having gotten the tattoo. However, it isn't 100% fool-proof.

A surgeon faces a disciplinary hearing for snapping a photo of a patient's tattooed genitals during an operation and showing it around to other doctors. Mayo Clinic Hospital administrators said Dr. Adam Hansen, chief resident of general surgery, admitted taking the photo with his cell phone on December 11. The tattoo on strip club owner Sean Dubowik's penis reads: "Hot Rod." [...] Dubowik said he got the tattoo on a bet and that "it was the most horrible thing I ever went though in my life."

Doc in hock for pix of cock?

The only complaint I have about the doctor is that he wasn't more discreet. If I were in his place, I'd have done the exact same thing, but I'd have been careful who I took the pic in front of and/or showed it to. That way, I and a select few close friends would get our schadenfreude jollies, the patient would be none the wiser, and everyone would be happy. The goody-two-shoes who ratted the doc out and thereby caused the patient's emotional distress, on the other hand, deserves to get bedpan duty for a year.

Eh, I've got no position one way or the other about the actual suit. I'm just amused that somebody got Hot Rod tattooed on their junk.

Yeah, I think your opinion would change if that picture of your "Hot Pocket" tattoo got passed around by a bunch of doctors, Ashley.

From BOA's Wiki entry: "Their first PA system was stolen from a local high school... (they were) subsequently charged in absentia with grand larceny and sentenced to 26 years at the Tucker Prison Farm (...later suspended). This led to their retreat to the hills of rural northeast Arkansas where they lived off the land and refined their musical style...

I love the south.

4, 5: Hey, as long as I'm none the wiser, they can have at it. I'm sure when I had my appendix out a couple years ago at least a couple interns made some judgmental comments behind my back (the OR was particularly chilly). As long as I don't know about it for certain and their laughter doesn't make them botch the procedure, they can knock themselves out.
