They should have served it with polenta.

Some long-suffering vegans finally get to taste meat. I'll note for the record that the photo essay thereof is on a blog mostly dedicated to logging the exact weight of the author's bowel movements by doing before and after body weight measurements.

Update: There is an unusually helpful comment thread on this over at cruel.com.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

PS -- Those pics are truly revolting.

ick

Not as bad as some of the mpegs you used to send me back during our glory days of gross-out one-upmanship, but close enough to remind me how much it disturbs me that you're a parent.

What did food ever do to these people, that they feel compelled to strike back at it with such gleeful viciousness?

Squishy?

But seriously, I can't wait till they start blogging.

I have a truly awesome pic of the midwife holding the membrane open and pointing out various features of the placenta about 10-minutes post-birth for the latest.

pointing out various features of the placenta

Features? You mean like all season steel-belted radials, power windows, and a lighted vanity mirror? Actually, I guess cruise and climate controls make more sense...

Throw some pimentos in with the placenta and polenta, and you could make a paella.

Placentas are the best evidence for alien lifeforms visiting Earth I have yet seen.

I, for one, welcome our new tentacled overlords.

I've never seen such delicious overlords.

In all seriousness, though, they are FAR more beautiful when breaded and deep fried.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed my Placenta - I am considering going for colonic irrigation next.
