Weird.

Posted by apostropher

So I'm wandering down J-Walk's blog, and he has linked to a YouTube video of babies eating lemons. This happens to be one of my favorite baby games and I thought, "Hey, I should link to the video we shot of Noah eating a lemon when he was a baby!"

But when I got to the last baby in the compilation video, there he was.

This is the first piece of reliable evidence I've ever seen that having babies is a worthwhile enterprise. You can feed them lemons and take video!

You are a cruel parent.

Cruel? No. Mine gave the same response: a typical puckered face and head shaking followed by repeated tasting. The 7 year old still eats them straight off the tree. They're good sources of vitamin C although I've heard they're not too good for tooth enamel.

My kid did the same thing too, but he was sitting straight up at a fancy restaurant. Amazing how he would keep tasting it. Wonder if there`s a different reaction for girls?

PK always loved these "pure fruit" lime popsicles, and would make that same OMG face and then keep eating them. It was adorable.

But Apo's cruel anyway.

The full video of Noah tasting the lemon is great. The only thing missing is the Three Stooges noises.

That's really precious. I think we just might have to help Molly acquire a new taste, and film it.

She'd just love that friendly little yellow color and fun juice trickling between her fingers. She could not resist just one...little...bite...

Then again she just might stare at it as if it were some kind of space alien debris.

Of course the important thing, besides getting it on video, is to do this when the little ones are not sleepy and to wipe their hands quickly, BEFORE they rub their eyes.
