I feel really sorry for the Rhode Islanders. And I'd be willing to talk to the Costa Ricans about a trade.

And I'm hard pressed to think of 2 more dissimilar places on this planet than Montana and Sri Lanka.

I was just getting used to being from Russia, now I'm moving to Switzerland? At least I don't have to go to Georgia to do it.

Suddenly Michigan's (relatively) high concentration of Muslims makes more sense.

How interesting that 37 million thrusting hyper-entrepreneurial Californians have an economy as big as 31 million idle socialist Canadians.

I look forward to following the progress of the Libertarian nutjobs trying to take over Libya.

From Norway to Argentina...perhaps less fitting, but I do thank you on behalf of Minnesotans.

The fusion cuisine along the Thai/Costa Rican border is going to kick ass.

We got upgraded from Saudi Arabia to Iran. Woo.

If those states really were those countries, we could have some really cool wars.

#8: You realize, I hope, that our Founding Fathers were "Libertarian nutjobs" and one of the biggest problem we have today is that to our liberties and pocketbooks posed by a growing government, that is more and more in the pocket of elites? Surely the last six years would have told you something about this.

How eager do you suppose the next President is going to be to undo our brave new world, and how likely is it that a Dem congress will insist on close supervision?

Libertarians are right that we need a much more law-abiding government, and one that is not snooping into our lives and bossing us around. The war on terror is just one thing on top of a long slide due to the "war on grugs" and other nonsense. A strong federal government is bringing us only greater governmental interference, more corporate manipulation or more regulation, and wars that suit politicians and defense industries that are on cost+ contracting.

They can have my grugs when they pry them out of my cold, dead hands.

I don't think you're talking about the same kind of "Libertarian nutjobs".

Hey M/tch, could you send me an e-mail, that I might know how to contact you?

18: I can't access my hotmail account here at work, but I'll shoot you an e-mail tonight when I get home or tomorrow at the latest. By contact, do you mean like a phone number or something?

Posted by: M/tch M/lls at June 28, 2007 08:43 AM
19

No, email. I tried sending something to your hotmail account last night and was told that it had been discontinued, so I assumed you had changed addresses. No?

our Founding Fathers were "Libertarian nutjobs"

Also slave owners, but I try to keep a sense of historical perspective about both of those.

Not that I'm aware of. I sure hope not. Did you accidentally use slashes instead of i's?

Maybe it didn't like me to try and send you an attachment. Sometimes hotmail has trouble with attachments. Oh well, I'll try and think of some other way to get my attachment to you.

Can you post it on your site and I can retrieve it from there?

Posted by: M/tch M/lls at June 28, 2007 10:23 AM

Yeah I'll do that, when I get home, or possibly tomorrow.

I think I'm in the process of downloading it now, but probably won't have time to listen to it till after dinner.

That is a very nice tune, Clownae. It's not quite in biting into a ripe peach territory for me, but I really do like it. The vocals remind me a lot of Ian Brown.

Ian Brown

Whom I have never heard of. Hmm... Time to do some research...

If you can find similar GDP data sets from circa 1939 you could do make the national security parallel to Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union, etc..

Whoa now! Alabama really ought to be Iran. We are much closer than Tennessee to being a theocracy run by a bunch of hardline fundamentalists. Plus, we're restarting our nuclear reactors. Purely civilian uses, you understand. But, when the war starts with the infidels on our eastern border over water rights, I'd much prefer that we get to invade Poland. However, I'm not sure we can expect much help from the Dutch to the south.
