Bendito Machine is about eight different kinds of awesome.
Might be time to rethink black holes.
My son and I absolutely love the freefall rides, but not when it severs your feet. Christ almighty.
Shaye Saint John is on the internet 24/7 signing autographs. But that sort of thing eventually leads to nerve fiber surgery. And there's a whopping lot of her website to explore.

Time for 6 flags to redo some of their promotional literature...

Bad times. God that story gives me the willies.
Posted by: gswift at June 22, 2007 11:21 AMYeah, me too, having been on the same ride in other parks with my kid. Eek.
Posted by: apostropher at June 22, 2007 11:48 AMYou know what gives *me* the willies? Shaye Saint John. Say, doesn't she have a recurring role in those Saw movies?
Posted by: NCProsecutor at June 22, 2007 12:00 PMThat Bendito Machine movie is so cool. But what purpose do the eye modules serve, what are they used for?

Posted by: Ashley at June 24, 2007 03:07 PMHeh. The two I've been on were called Drop Zone Stunt Towers, at Kings Dominion and Carowinds. I see they've both been shut down for having the same defect.

I got the impression that they represented manufactured goods in general...the by-products of civilization, especially as they piled up uselessly at the end. Eyes are often symbolic of knowledge...perhaps the accumulated wisdom of mankind, being mass-produced, packaged and consumed, then finally forgotten. But hey, I could be way off.
