The cars seem to keep driving blithely by even several seconds into the geyser, by the time they would have been able to see it from far enough back to stop. I would have probably stopped for fear of getting stuck.

A huge frickin lid to that thing that seems to have stopped one vehicle and its idiot driver, who seems to have no sense as to where to stand, either to stay safe or relatively dry.
