The only thing that you weren't right about was blaming it on Clinton's genitals. Schadenfreude though it be, we get now to watch gleafully as republicans jump the sinking ship of the Bush administration in desperate hope of not being held responsible for their approval.
I think I'm going to watch the speach tomorrow. It will be insteresting to see how the formerly lock-step republican party applauds.

I agree with lenhart that you got this wrong. When all hell broke loose, they just denied that there was a hell or that if there was one, it certainly wasn't breaking loose.
But otherwise good work. Can you tell me who'll win the Superbowl? I could stand to make a few bucks with a health wager...
Posted by: HemlockEcho at January 22, 2007 05:19 PMThis applause thing during the S of the U is the most annoying trend since end-zone dances, which is why i gave up watching these orgies of fronto-lobotomitism a long time ago (yes during Clinton). I am pretty sure that Bush will get plenty of applause for the most inane, ill-conceived, and meaning-deprived statements that his stoned writers concoct, from Demlickans and Repudnicrats alike.
Would consider watching if it some kind of social drinking game could be invented from it.
Posted by: Jon at January 22, 2007 08:15 PMCongrats to you and the twelve million people who took to the streets protesting the war before it started. They had a bit of a clue too...
