Oh man. Check out this video of a 600-pound octopus moving through a clear plastic maze containing tubes the size of a quarter.
Incredibly cool. The narration was annoying, though.
Posted by: M/tch M/lls at January 17, 2007 06:07 PMCool -- sorta like Mr. Fantastic. But how does this tie in to the Internet tubes?
Posted by: Clownæsthesiologist at January 17, 2007 08:14 PMYes, this is cool. Now when are we going to have posts on FISA, Somalia, Iraq, the pending attack on Iran and incipient Republican rebellion?
Posted by: SlouchingTom at January 18, 2007 05:09 AMClown: I think this octopus is why it sometimes takes days to get the internets that my staffers send me.
Posted by: HemlockEcho at January 18, 2007 02:53 PMAww man, that reminded me of when some people were on this trip with me (same ones who are gunna be doctors with anger issues) and narrated an octupus. But ne ways thats pimp.

Cheney is coming to Tokyo next month to nail down support for plans against Iran, as well as to talk about N Korea, China and the fact that the UN Sec General is a South Korean; he was preceded by Bolton, who was in town this week.
I was at a presentation last night feature talks by a Foreign Ministry official and a reporter who had talked with Bolton. The subject was the challenges facing Ban Ki Moon. What both sepakers actually discussed? Japan`s case to join the Security Council! When the Foreign Ministry official was asked how Japan`s membership might have changed the US invasion of Iraq, he took the position that Japan would have supported the US, at least publicly, and no one could have stopped the US. I told the other speaker later that Koizumi and Blair both bear some of the moral responsibility for the Iraq invasion, which they made possible by not standing up to Bush. True friends don`t let Cheny and Bush have their way with them.
