I am he as you are he as you are me...

Check out this very interesting photography project by Francois Brunelle called "I'm not a look-alike!" None of the pairs in the pictures are related to one another. The artist's site is here, but the first link above has more examples. If you have already found your look-alike, Brunelle is still working on the project and is taking applications.

Do you find that the guys look much more alike than the women?

Sounds simple enough, but Brad Pitt's handlers won't let me get through to him.

No ogged. You're just gay.

Actually, I don't think the resemblances are that striking. Siblings or cousins, maybe, but I don't think I would mistake any of them for the other one. Interesting project though.

I ran into my doppelgänger a few years ago at the Vatican. He was in the Swiss Guard -- true story. The resemblance was uncanny, except that he was considerably taller and, you know, the funny clothes.

On a recent trip to Puerto Rico, I found a doppleganger for about 75% of the people I know. If you're looking for your twin, that's the place to start. Coincidentally, your twin likes rice and beans.

He must have had many faces.

For years I had people I know swear they saw me in the Berkeley area - riding my bike down the street, at a club, etc. but it wasn't me.

There's someone out there who looks just like me, but I've never seen him. But people I know have.
weird.

he needs to work harder finding pairs, or else bill them as distant pairs at best.

Dang but the internet is a bunch of bitches. I think the resemblances are pretty striking in almost all of them.

A: You like like Deinda!
B: Who?
A: Deinda my dick!!!11!!!

That would probably be funnier if A said "look like" instead of "like like". Also s/he might use a name like Deannda instead of Deinda, since that would sound more like a mispronunciation of "the end of".

Of the dopplegangery (of myself or others) people I've seen or met, more than physical resemblance it's usually been the way they move, their mannerisms, voice, expressions, posture, etc. that really make them seem like another version of a person.

I, for one, think that "inda" sounds more like "end of" than does "annda".

Although from your comment it seems like you're aiming for a mispronunciation, though I'm not sure why that would be your aim.

dAVE, by any chance do you work as an accident investigator for auto manufacturers, and the other guy make soap?

This is really interesting. I think these people look startlingly alike, and what I want to know is how they found each other. Did they walk down a street or a supermarket aisle and see themselves coming the other way?

I was expecting to see Ringo Starr and Yasser Arafat.

I found my twin at a gas station, near my college. We looked at each other across the pump island and started to laugh. We drove the same year, make, model, and color car, too. After a brief chat, we agreed to wave amicably at each other's friends when they waved at the wrong one of us.
