Just about everybody. Five thousand years condensed into 90 seconds, with pretty colors. (via)
I missed the part where they showed the nation of Palestine on the map. I'm sure it's in there somewhere...
Posted by: Gaijin Biker at October 5, 2006 11:10 PMGB, what's your point?
Is your point that the Arabs who make up the Palis are intruders into the regios, and have been exported by other Arab countries just to create problems for the Jews, and that the Jews had been in Palestine for millenia (and the so-called waves of immigration, fueled by oppression elsewhere, have been much overstated)? Was the State of Israel created in a vacuum, or had the region been largely Muslim and ruled by Muslims since the spread of Islam?
Yeah, Apo, cool link, even though we are treated to very little useful information about the past century. But what's your point?
Posted by: PutzheadTom at October 6, 2006 12:17 AMThe map is cool, but not very detailed. It doesn't really show how many of those empires coexisted for long periods; it mostly shows the older ones fading away as new ones arise.
