The problem isn't the facts on the ground; the problem is that there is damn little partisan upside for the Administration in withdrawing. Do you think anyone wants to have a "cut and run" legacy? Even though they didn't think very hard about getting into Iraq, I hope we fully consider our options and interests in getting out.

The Administration may very well get us into another war just to save face, especially if it thinks that will help keep Republicans in power and allow their favored elite to keep sucking the country dry.
