I have seen much worse (both in terms of content and of execution) in the National Gallery of Canada, and in websites of the national galleries of numerous countries, including England.
It would be ridiculous to destroy this bit of work, which inspires awe by the quality of the work, and good humour by its content.
Come on, Bristol City Council : ease up a bit, and thank whoever it is who has presented your citizens with such a delightful piece of public art.
