Some tentative good news from Iraq.
The truth about anal bleaching.
Surprisingly, smoking marijuana apparently carries no increased risk of lung cancer, even in huge amounts.
Now I want to make shiny mud balls.
What did North Carolina ever do to deserve Vernon Robinson?
Marie Osmond has naughty daughters.
If you're having your mugshot taken, you might as well mug for the camera.
Yeesh, talk about a high burden of proof. In related news, we're now much closer to being able to grow new ones.
Kung Fu Monkey ruminates on the word "chickenhawk."
TrackBackBy September of last year, 39 percent of the original marshland was again underwater according to satellite photos.
So where exactly did Mike Brown go after leaving FEMA?
Posted by: Gaijin Biker at May 30, 2006 10:41 PMAhh, of course he was still at FEMA until mid-Sept. 2005. A good joke ruined.
Posted by: Gaijin Biker at May 30, 2006 10:45 PMThe anal bleaching site promises to find out the truth about Anal Bleaching and its sister treatment Vaginal Bleaching--but then says nothing about the latter. I find myself just terribly disappointed by this unfulfilled promise of important information.
Also, why the capitalizations?

Purely subjective testing shows that inhaling large amounts of marijuana smoke interferes with lung efficiency.
I've ended up on Vernon's mailing list somehow. Dude is a full on wing-nut-erific.

Posted by: Sterling at May 31, 2006 04:51 PMAbout the mugging mug shots -- I was prepared to say, "Where's... ?" and then there it was at #8. The Smoking Gun rocks.
Speaking of smoking, #4 is not bad a 'tall.
Posted by: Matt Weiner at May 31, 2006 07:55 PMI just interviewed four friends who have been smoking weed daily for 20-40 years. One has a mild kind of emphysema. No other health problems. No other problems such as job-loss or arrests. There may have been marital problems in one case but they aren't exactly rare. Two reported that they are less ambitious than they would have been. All are homeowners who have been self-supporting the whole time.

Posted by: M/tch M/lls at June 1, 2006 10:21 AMThat reminds me of a joke:

"Hey, man," he says, "I dare you to climb to the moon on the beam of light."
"Dude, I'm not stupid" says the other. "I'd get halfway there, and you'd turn it off."

Whatever else isn't true about marijuana, the reports that it will make you lazy are 100% absolutely true.
