Great photos. Let's hope more funding is approved to keep Hubble serviced, so this great instrument is not lost due to budget cuts arising from tax cuts and war spending.

My understanding is that Hubble's accuracy is being superceded by telescopes on the ground; there's a much better telescope to be lauched in 2011, and astronomers are more indifferent on this subject than the general public. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't heard about ground-based telescopes outstripping Hubble—they still have to penetrate an atmosphere—but the Webb Telescope (named after a Tarheel!) will indeed be much, much more powerful when it's launched.
