SLIDING SUPPORT: Support for President Bush's handling of his job and the war in Iraq continues to decline in the latest poll conducted by Elon University.
MAJORITY DISAPPROVAL: Fifty-three percent of the 539 people surveyed by telephone this week polled strongly disapproved or disapproved of Bush's job performance, while 57 percent did not approve of his handling of Iraq.
MILITARY AGREES: Members of the military who were surveyed share the skepticism toward Bush, with more than half the 80 active-duty, reserve, retired or veteran military members saying they did not approve of his job performance or handling of the war.
