Conservative ethics.

Shorter Michael Medved: Grown men having sex with 13-year-old girls is less worthy of condemnation than belonging to the Democratic Party.

Also, this.

Remember, when it's their or their friends' wangs, it's no one else's business. Thy rod and thy staff are sacrosanct tools of Godly and, equally important, Republican discipline. But everybody else is just so, so impure. We should all feel dirty for questioning such patriotic pedophilia when there are still Democrats in America's churches.

Funny how you hear the sound of crickets when, say, Rush Limbaugh is exposed as having a drug problem, conservative mayors offer chat room sex partners (of the same sex as he) offices, etc., etc. Even from Lynchburg, VA and wherever-the-hell-it-is in SC.

I don't think you should refer to these people as Conservatives. There's no need to use that broad brush. There are plenty things about we could label "conservative" that I'm sure we all could at least amicably agree to disagree about.

The problem is with Republicans. And if you don't make it left vs. right, white vs. black, up vs. down like this then it's just fuckwits vs. people-who-don't-want-fuckwits-in-charge-of-everything.

There are reasonable conservatives and reasonable Republicans. I'm using the terminology that Medved uses to label himself.
