So I'm watching this game with my 10 year old, who chose UW (Washington that is) to win it all, and we were both cheering for UNC, but when it was all over I said, "Yeah, but don't you think those Illini guys feel pretty bad right now?"

Her response? "Well, I guess they should've practiced harder."

Ouch. =)

Just got back from Chapel Hill - that scene was great - lots of good celebrating, not too much misbehavin' - and the Hall has a bench out in the FRONT YARD (like a "real frat", as I heard some passerby say). Woo! I won't be able to speak well tomorrow, but then again, I am opting for a late arrival at work as well. :)

The rest of my bracket may have been a disaster, but in the end, I had UNC beating Illinois by 3 in the final, so I am happy with my prognostications.

The women's basketball team from the school my sister went to (Baylor) is in the finals this year, so I guess that's not really the same at all.

Oh, yeah, crow away. Personally I don't really watch basketball. I just don't get that whole homo-erotic thing that gets so many guys breathing heavy.

But I'm not a party pooper. Go ahead and enjoy your gay fun. Laugh it up, funny boy.

Suddenly, I'm much more interested in basketball...

At any rate, The Boyf and I were reading & such in front of the game (neither of us caring over-much) and when the game ended I turned to him and said, "Somewhere, apostropher just up-ended the bottle of whiskey."

No whiskey for me, but I did have to have CPR.

COngrats.

But please explain the fire-leaping. Exactly how many classes do you take at UNC before you learn that fire burns?

Dr Frank, it's not about the classes you take to learn that fire burns, it's about te classes you take to know how many beers it takes before you can't feel the fire burning. Or something.

I don't think anyone got too hurt on Monday, though there were several burn cases on Saturday.

I guess if Duke had won they'd be dancing around citronella candles on campus, what with their bonfire burn ban and all.

I was with the great Apostopher the last UNC Men's NCAA Championship. I thought of you immediately when we won again. I am sure you and the young K were jumping for joy!!!
