Well, I suppose the evidentiary photographs are sorely lacking the same lurid appeal of the Vanessa Williams dustup, but the sick humor quotient is decidedly higher.
CNN: Ms Wheelchair stripped of title for standing up
Ms. Wheelchair Wisconsin has been stripped of her title because pageant officials say she can stand -- and point to a newspaper picture as proof. Janeal Lee, who has muscular dystrophy and uses a scooter, was snapped by The Post-Crescent newspaper standing among her high school math students.
"I've been made to feel as if I can't represent the disabled citizens of Wisconsin because I'm not disabled enough," Lee said Thursday.
It's a shame, too, as she was really rolling toward the national title. Her family still holds out hope of bringing home the tiara, though, since (no kidding) her sister was just named Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota. Good to know something runs in that family.
TrackBack"Contestants are judged on their accomplishments, self perception, and self-projection and communication skills in personal and on-stage interviews with a team of judges."
What about trickin' out their wheelchairs?
Anyone who participates in a pageant - I don't care what the reasons are - should be made fun of.
"Good to know something runs in that family"
Ain't nobody runnin' over there...... OK, that's bad :0
I believe the correct pronunciation is "Timmah!" joe.
