Admit it: zombies cause terror.

Posted by apostropher

In the wake of the school shootings that kept happening a few years back, it only makes sense that parents and school administrators take threats of violence from students seriously. However, they might want to spend a little less time and seriousness on the threats of voodoo.

Winchester police say William Poole, 18, was taken into custody Tuesday morning. Investigators say they discovered materials at Poole's home that outline possible acts of violence aimed at students, teachers, and police. Poole told LEX 18 that the whole incident is a big misunderstanding. He claims that what his grandparents found in his journal and turned into police was a short story he wrote for English class.

"My story is based on fiction," said Poole, who faces a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. "It's a fake story. I made it up. I've been working on one of my short stories, (and) the short story they found was about zombies. Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school over ran by zombies. [...] It didn't mention nobody who lives in Clark County, didn't mention (George Rogers Clark High School), didn't mention no principal or cops, nothing."

The kid is still in jail after a judge raised his bail from one to five grand.

Totally OT, but you remember Richard Nicely, the opinionated Conservative MN man?

http://www.notsorandomthoughts.com/

Well, I got a copy of the Rochester Post Bulletin from Friday, Feb 4th and found the following, which makes me wonder just what the "principles and ideas" the parking lot perv was thinking about?

"Criminal charges have been filed against a Rochester man accused of masturbating and exposing himself in the presence of two girls in a parking lot in December.

Richard Allen Nicely, 40, 1817 First Ave. S.W., was arraigned Thursday in Olmsted District Court. He is charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of indecent exposure. Three of the charges are gross misdemeanors and one of the indecent exposure charges is a misdemeanor.

Judge Jodi Williamson released Nicely on his own recognizance, with conditions attached. He returns to court Feb. 14.

Nicely has been a frequent freelance writer for the Post-Bulletin.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called about 7:50 p.m. Dec. 6 to the parking lot outside Kohl's department store on South Broadway. Two 13-year-old girls told the officer they had been waiting in their car while the mother of one of the girls was in the store. They said they noticed a man in a car next to theirs who had his pants down and appeared to be masturbating. The girls said the man kept looking at them while he did this. When the mother returned to the car, the girls told her what the man was doing. The mother recorded the vehicle's license plate, and the man drove off.

According to the complaint, officers traced the vehicle license to Nicely, who admitted being in the parking lot but initially denied the allegations. The complaint says he later admitted to the allegations but didn't intend for anyone to see him."

According to the detective, it would be a felony just to possess a copy of Stephen King's Carrie. Not that I object.

Jeez, why is this such a big deal? Like HALF of my graduating class were zombies, and hardly any of them got arrested. Sheesh.

Stephen King would have been arrested in high school for writing on of his first books: Rage. Which was about a high school kid taking his class hostage.

This message is for "Tripp" or anyone with information on Richard Nicely of Rochester MN...I was reading your blog on the Parking Lot Perv...did some research and realized I am aware of the family and have been concerned about his 3 children. I can't find anything on him going back to court. Does anyone have any information on Richard Nicely of Rochester MN. Thanks so much for any info.

concerned,

I can only go by what is in the public record. The local paper had no more stories about Nicely after the February appearance. You could try contacting the courthouse - http://www.courts.state.mn.us/districts/third/counties/olmsted.htm to see what information is available to the public.

If you suspect that children are in danger I recommend you contact the local law enforcement.

This is for Tripp
Mr. Nicely was recently hauled back into Olmsted County court for a hearing. He had to post bail and now has conditions set on his release. Why? Because he was arrected in Red Wing for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.....

The saga finally ends - or does it?

Okay, remember Mr Richard Nicely? I guess the wheels of justice turn slowly but finely.

The 7/22/06 edition of the local paper (http://news.postbulletin.com/newsmanager/templates/?a=263060&z=0) says the following:

Man sentenced on indecent exposure charges
RED WING -- A Rochester man convicted in Goodhue District Court for exposing himself to two girls must serve 90 days in jail and pay $182 for a fine and surcharge. Richard Allen Nicely, 42, was sentenced Thursday in Goodhue Distric ...

The remainder of the article is behind a subscription firewall, but it essentially says Nicely got a plea agreement for TWO offenses, one in Red Wing and one in Rochester! Both involved beating off in front of young girls in a public place. His plea claimed he was not guilty but he would concede as to how a jury would find him guilty. Yeah, because of his confession!

Yuck!

What is it with the extreme rightwing perves? Oh, his website seems to be gone now, too. Maybe he didn't want the other criminals in jail to see his "crack down on crime" stance.

Will jail put an end to his activity? I dunno - while charged with the initial offense he went off and did it again! I don't think we've seen the last of Richard.
