Being a grown-up is da bomb.

Posted by apostropher

Remember all the talk about the "grown-ups being in charge again" once the Texas GOP took over the reins of power in Washington? Just take a quick glance at one of the highly intelligent grown-ups that great state sent up to Washington:

Now we know where Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas) thinks the weapons of mass destruction are buried: in Syria, which he said he'd like to nuke to smithereens. Speaking at a veterans' celebration at Suncreek United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, on Feb. 19, Johnson told the crowd that he explained his theory to President Bush and Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas) on the porch of the White House one night.

Johnson said he told the president that night, "Syria is the problem. Syria is where those weapons of mass destruction are, in my view. You know, I can fly an F-15, put two nukes on 'em and I'll make one pass. We won't have to worry about Syria anymore."

You can bet that the assembled faithful there in Suncreek United Methodist Church just cheered at the suggestion of wiping an entire nation of innocent people off the face of the planet because, really, if Jesus taught us anything it was that indiscriminate mass murder is just peachy keen. What the hell is it with right-wingers and dropping nuclear bombs on people? Just the mention of it makes an awful lot of them go all moist and panting.

They're still upset that the only man ever to do it was a Democrat...

Fascism needs violence to justify its existence.
Amerika is a violent, xenophobic society whose Government constantly reinforces its delusions of superiority by subjugating countries too weak to defend themselves.
Bullys are a world-wide societal problem, who are driven by fear and inadequacy. Amerika being the violent and corporate - driven competitive society that it is produces many insecure, basically inadequate individuals who feel more secure when they surround themselves with violent like -minded individuals, or align themselves with organizations which espouse violence.
Unfortunately for Amerika and the world, GW Bush is an inadequate, ill-advised, arrogant, deluded bully. Get the nukes ready!

Best quote from the link to the freepers site:

"Our wealth would be dramatically reduced, and the economy would be in chaos for at least a generation. The American way of life would be dramatically altered, perhaps permanently. In short, the Islamic terrorists would win."

These poor souls in good old red America (sorry Waldo, I'm skippin' the K) look at the world and see chaos that they fear will affect the Walmartized paradise we have here (for "at least a generation", according this research I dun read at WorldNetDaily.com ; ). Hard to believe Chevy trucks and acid washed blue jeans are worth killin' for to some folk, but I shit you not, my supervisor told me she was realized how thankful she was for people like "your brother over there in Iraq" while she was sitting in Denny's. Denny's.

Oh, and I love how these blow-hards all know what would constituate a "win" in the mind of them ter'sts.

Fuck'em. Bring on the Napalm and let's barbacue us up some Islams! And sum'thm quares too!
