Didn't get much play in the press, since reporters were too busy uncovering the lies/half-truths offered by Bush Administration spokespeople and getting details straight on various budget / spending bill stories. Besides, they figured, the guy's going to have a hard enough job running for president and turning around the country, why bug him about personal issues?

Kerry is in the same league as Bush when it comes to horrible photos. Of course it doesn't help that he looks like a literal zombie of Lurch.
